Today I was asking Emma what to buy for her lunches and I asked what kind of cookie she liked.
Emma: Chocolate chip, but I don't really want them in my lunch.
Me: Why not?
Emma: Cause I prefer to eat them warm from the oven, sitting by the fire with a glass of cold milk; not at school, outside, with a bunch of cussing kids.

Night before jitters

#41 Ride a Segway. Check! Thanks to a few of my silly friends that went with me, we had a blast.

Oh Baby!

I got to hold my beautiful new grand-daughter yesterday. She was very sleepy but opened her eyes and looked to see who was holding her. It made me giddy. She has her mother's eyes and full lips but she gets her hair from her daddy (Brit was bald for months). She is doing amazingly well and will be home in no time. Thanks for all your prayers and words of comfort. I told Juniper about all the people that already love her.

Was told tonight that I needed to change my blog. So much time has passed don't know where to start. So thought this might be funny after the 'road trip' was up there for so long. Took this picture in Venice in March. Yep there was a Botero exhibit (we didn't go in) while we were there.
